I ran across this great idea for a halloween countdown calendar at a Bushel and a Peck. She also includes a list of "thankful activities" to go along with each day of the countdown. I don't think I will have time to make such a cute advent calendar this year - but I do think I will come up with a fun little countdown and have my boys do the activities each day.
